A Gobbling We Will Go

So thanksgiving was spent with Daltons mom's family this year.
His aunt, uncle and cousin flew in from South Carolina.

Brynlee had gotten hand, foot and mouth a week earlier so I was worried we'd have to miss out on all the festivities but she was pretty much cleared up by thanksgiving
And not contagious... so bring on the turkey leg!
Her doc said keeping her quarantined wasn't necessary anyway, but better safe than sorry

Anywho it was actually a really nice day.
And good family fun.

Here is Kim fishing for wine bottles - this came in second to my most memorable Thanksgiving event
They were set outside to get cold - because if you were in Texas...you know it was cold outside.
Anywho we're guessing the pool cleaner hose whacked them in
But it makes for a funny picture.

When everyone is laying on the floor after dinner...you know there was too much food
The rest of the family after dinner

 Dalton and Brynlee playing outside
Brynlee wanted dessert too so I gave her some yogurt haha
I know I'm no fun
This is the after dessert pose

Oh How Pinteresting....

So its been a long time since I have expressed my love for pinterest lately
So i'll cath you up to date with one of my projects
I Love to DIY
So my first project was to make Brynlee a Grow Chart

I bought some scrap wood at Home Depot $0.50
Some paint that had been marked down $0.50
I printed a ruler out on the computer because at the time I couldn't find mine $Priceless
Literally...It was free

So I painted the wood a cream color
Then Sanded it down some to make the wood & paint look rustic
Then I did the markings

Here Is the somewhat final & Final product
After hanging it on the wall Dalton pointed out a mistake I made
No biggie it was a quick fix

I wanted something movable
Because if I had made something on the wall it self
You better believe Im taking that chunk of the wall with me if we move
So luckily this is movable and simple

Halloween 2011

This year we thought to be a little more fun now with Brynlee running about
And it was
the cutest Cowboys cheerleader ever!
My mom came into town, we did trunk or treat at First Fest our church puts on, and then we passed out candy at our house Halloween night
Getting her ready!

Our trunk! Go Cowboys/Rangers!

Daddy helping her through the bounce obstacle course

haha ...I was freaking out on the inside but I held my composure

And then I felt better after seeing this reaction to her face plant

Her friend Emily Daugherty our friends Holli & james girl

Petting zoo with daddy

Horse ride with daddy

Dalton loved this!
He got to play with Brynlee and do all these things normally he wouldn't be able to do because of work
She had a whole crowd watching her too
There was a small jazz band playing and she just ran in front of them and started dancing
Soon enough a crowd stated forming cheering her on
So CUTE
She definitely loves the spotlight

The View From the Edge

So a couple weekends ago I got to experience an amazing event
The View From The Edge
A training even that my company does once a year
The guy who does it Mark Accetta, This particular training he does is the only kind like this in the world.
Of course there will be imitators, but its copy righted so it wouldn't be smart for them to do so.
BUT ANYWAY....
It was a whole weekend thing.
I went Friday night to the Red Carpet event, training and after party for some mingling.
Me, Jordan (from Canada) and Amy

Me and Amy at the after party
She introduced me to the who's who of the company
It was pretty great.
Wayne Nugent

The CEO's and Directors of the company

Mike Azcue
These are all just pics from the show.
It's called edutainment, entertainment that educates
Because usually when people try to teach us something we forget it the next day.
But anything that is entertaining we somehow embed whatever we just watched into our minds.
Kinda like the theme song to the Adams Family or the Brady Bunch.
We prob haven't watched those shows in forever, But we know all the snaps in the Adams Family and all the words to the Brady Bunch theme song right?
And most of us can't even remember what an Isosceles triangle is.
Thats why the show Are you smarter than a 5th grader is so successful.

Anywho Mark Accetta acts out different scenarios to make a point about a certain life situation.
I mean, in your far confrontal about anything and everything.
He is literally life changing, marriage changing, family changing etc etc.
All in this one show thats only meant to train you to better your buisness
But when you walk away, You have gained so much more.

I only went to the show for Fri and Sat.
Since I had church on Sunday, which I volunteered to bring a breakfast item and Dalton only has this day off besides thurs so I had to miss out.
But I still took away a hole ton.
I remember walking out of the building on Sat night thinking that was such a God thing.
And then I thought....How many people can say that about something their company puts on.
I mean the presenters and the people who were just speaking weren't afraid at all to talk about God and praise Him in this business atmosphere.
I thought that was pretty amazing, considering this wasn't a religious event of any kind.
I am so blessed and I want to share this with the world!
If you weren't here you should be!!

Brynlee's First Pair Of Boots

Okay so after our venture out to Grumps & Gammy's  I was on a mission for some boots.
Plus I had some extra motivation being that she was going to be a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader for Halloween.

So here we are trying on our first pair of pink boots and Cavenders.
I wanted white but they didn't have her size.
And unfortunately whoever made these boots thinks that Toddlers have barbie feet.

So on we went to next door.
Sheplers!
Where again no white, but we did find pink boots that fit!
YAY first pair of cowgirl boots!
Yeehawww!

Visit to Grumps & Gammy's

(I'm in catch up mode with my blog.)
A few weeks ago Brynlee and I went out to Dalton's Dad and step moms!
Brynlee loves going out there since they have so much land for her to run around on.
Renee and i went on a walk with Brynlee all around their house and Brynlee was having a blast.
At this point I noted that she needed boots.
Her little legs were getting scratched up by the sticks and everything.
Although it didn't bother her any.
So after visiting with the horses we came back to watch "Tangled"

Brynlee and Renee playing with Mr. Potato Head

My Company does great things Right Here in Arlington

It's so encouraging when the company you work for isn't thinking only about themselves.
Or the money you make.
And it's not all about "making money".
Like any other breathing Human being these characteristics from anyone let alone a business,
sounds like a load of, well for lack of a better word ...crap.
Each day when I see someone walking to work, 50 years old and working at the fast food window, or just someone in a bad situation trying their hardest to earn a buck, I just want to run up to them and say "I can change your life! Come work with me!!!!"
But then I'm sure they'd think I was on crack and never talk to me again. haha
But it's so true! (Not the crack part)
But that this business is more of a way to help others change their lives.
I don't think about the me here. I think about how can I change the world with this.
Not to mention we build bottle schools, we are apart of the pay it forward foundation, the big brother big sister program ...etc etc.

So anyway I thought it was pretty cool when I came across this article about Matt Morris.
I had no idea he was from Arlington, Tx.
But now I do, and since I live here Id like to share his story.

Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch

Dalton and I took Brynlee to her first Pumpkin Patch on Tuesday! (10/18/11)
We just so happened to be having a cold front this day also
So it felt extra fall-ish and we weren't sweaty hanging out outside all day, which was nice
She loved it, We loved it= Success

Peaking through the pumpkin hole with Daddy

This reminds me of Jason Aldean's song "Big Green Tractor"
So cute!

Brynlee playing with other kids
Our daughter is not shy by any means.
She saw a few kids on this red train playing, she wanted on and she got on
It was a school on a trip to the pumpkin patch
I'm sure Brynlee is in a few of their pictures haha
She hung out with them for a few minutes until I got Daddy to pull her off when it was getting to max capacity
But even the kids were just chatting it up with her!

This is not ok. I'm only 5'1...

Dady playing with Brynlee in the hayride line

On the hayride!
Don't mind the dirty knees, it was muddy out there, and she fell
....a few times
This was Dalton's favorite part of the whole trip
Her first time in the bounce house!
So I was not up to this at first because the other kids make me nervous
Lets face it bounce houses make me nervous.
Anywho so momma let loose and gave in because she really wanted to get in it
AND
She loved it!
The falling, the kids making her fall because of their bouncing, her trying to bounce
It was great to just watch her

Trying to pull the wagon
The wagon was actually really heavy and she was getting so frustrated that she couldn't pull it haha

It was a great trip.
The Kettle corn is awesome too!
We snacked on that while walking around till we hit up Mi Cocina's for lunch and then headed back home for nap time
